Dr. Ricky Gray received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University where he met and married his wife, Brittany. He remained at Ohio State to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery, graduating in 2018 with the highest academic honors. The Grays bleed Scarlet and Gray (Go Bucks!). They have three beautiful children– Ruth, Gabriel, and Magnolia. Though they are transplants to the area, Currituck and the surrounding area mean so much to the Gray family. They feel that the beautiful coastal scenery and the kind-hearted, compassionate people that live here have created the perfect environment in which to raise their family and experience joy in life. Dr. Gray loves seeing his patients smile not just at Currituck Dental but also when he sees them at the YMCA, the golf course, school and sporting events for his kids, his church community, and his favorite local restaurants. Dr. Gray’s professional ambition is for Currituck Dental to be a place the people of this community can be proud to call their dental home. As a kid growing up, a dentist was always somebody he associated with pain, anxiety, and judgment. Dr. Gray finds happiness in his career by instead trying to achieve the opposite of that. He believes that every patient deserves to be cared for with respect and dignity and to experience healthcare in an environment where they feel comfortable, safe, and listened to. While he of course prides himself in being an excellent and precise clinician, being told he is gentle, patient, and kind are the compliments he appreciates the most.
